Ingredients of Bomboloni
- You need to prepare 4 c of flour.
- You need to prepare 2 tsp of active yeast.
- Prepare 1/3 c of sugar.
- You need to prepare 2 tbsp of butter.
- You need to prepare 1 tsp of salt.
- You need to prepare 1 of egg.
- Prepare of Milk flavor, nutmeg (optional) but recommended.
- You need to prepare 2 tbsp of powder milk.
- Prepare of Oil for frying.
Bomboloni step by step
- Dissolve sugar, salt and yeast with warm water..
- Add egg n mix.
- Mix all dry ingredients and add to yeast mixture.
- Mix till a soft dough is formed.
- Message butter into the dough. Knead and beat for about 15min until dough is smooth, soft and elastic.
- Transfer to a bowl, cover and keep warm till it doubles in size.
- Punch down the proof dough knead n beat for some time.
- Divide dough into several portion. Make small balls roll and smoothen.
- Dust tray with enough flour. I lost the actual picture of it. Rub the surface with melted butter. Cover and allow it to rise again. Fry over medium low heat till golden brown.
