Ingredients of Bomboloni

  1. You need to prepare 4 c of flour.
  2. You need to prepare 2 tsp of active yeast.
  3. Prepare 1/3 c of sugar.
  4. You need to prepare 2 tbsp of butter.
  5. You need to prepare 1 tsp of salt.
  6. You need to prepare 1 of egg.
  7. Prepare of Milk flavor, nutmeg (optional) but recommended.
  8. You need to prepare 2 tbsp of powder milk.
  9. Prepare of Oil for frying.

Bomboloni step by step

  1. Dissolve sugar, salt and yeast with warm water..
  2. Add egg n mix.
  3. Mix all dry ingredients and add to yeast mixture.
  4. Mix till a soft dough is formed.
  5. Message butter into the dough. Knead and beat for about 15min until dough is smooth, soft and elastic.
  6. Transfer to a bowl, cover and keep warm till it doubles in size.
  7. Punch down the proof dough knead n beat for some time.
  8. Divide dough into several portion. Make small balls roll and smoothen.
  9. Dust tray with enough flour. I lost the actual picture of it. Rub the surface with melted butter. Cover and allow it to rise again. Fry over medium low heat till golden brown.
  10. Enjoy.
  11. Note:i usually use 1/3 cup of sugar to 4c of flour in my doughnut but you can add more if you like or having a sweet tooth.
